pink rose tea garden

Late into the night --when your eyelashes feel heavy with sleepy dust-- slowly, baby pink buds awaken and blossom.

In my own private garden --which very few are ever able to catch a glimpse of-- newly born pink roses mingle and giggle through the night as they bask under the moonlight, their soft petals raised to the skies drinking the moon's milky glow. But the most delightful time of this magical evening takes place moments just before the sun breaks through the sky. During this precious hour, my flowers prepare the sweetest tea for my lips to taste, just before they cuddle back to sleep and dream the day through, until yet another magical night in my own private garden which very few are ever able to catch a glimpse of.

Friday Night Burnout

can't remember the last time I have ever felt this exhausted in my life
and so attached

and with a desperate need to change my taste in life

back to where we came from

and so I return to my place underneath the soil
and wait until I can bloom again
perhaps that day you won't be there
it will be a day too far from today

red red rose

Inspired by Robert Burns' A Red, Red Rose.

“O, my love is like a red, red rose
That’s newly sprung in June;
O, my love is like the melodie
That’s sweetly play’d in tune...”

- Robert Burns, A Red, Red Rose, st. 1 (song/poem, 1794)
